About the Doctor

Matthew Abdoney D.M.D

Board eligible, Dr. Matthew Abdoney grew up in the Tampa Bay, FL area. After earning a bachelor’s in zoology, he obtained his dental degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He then completed a two-year pediatric residency at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Having been in practice since 2000, Dr. Abdoney is a member of the American Dental Association, Tampa Bay Pediatric Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Southeast Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

A public lecturer, he does volunteer work with Christina’s Smile and the American Cancer Society. Dr. Abdoney enjoys fishing, reading and golf in his spare time.
